The lip piercings first apparence was in the South american indian tribes and malaysian ebo tribes, where was a sign of the social and familiar estate. Todays lip piercing trend has no special meaning, just the aesthetics. The most common jewellerys are the straight, the ring, the horseshoe. They are totally different than the old ones. Its reborn was in 1980's when began the piercing fever.
